First High School Student Intelligent System and Humanistic Knowledge Invitationals Held at Tongji

The First High School Student Intelligent System Invitational and the First High School Student Humanistic Knowledge Invitational were successively held at Tongji University from March 18th to 19th 2017. More than 60 students from 17 high school teams participated in the invitationals which helped them learn more about the distinctive features of different schools and disciplines of Tongji.
Eight teams with three members for each team attended the Humanistic Knowledge Invitational organized by the School of Humanities. It consisted of literary criticism competition among individuals and creative writing competition among teams with the intent to assess students’ logic thinking, analyzing and summarizing abilities as well as their reading and writing skills.
Nine teams attended the Intelligent System Invitational with four members for each team. They were put into two categories of Production and Control. For the Production Category，each team was to assemble a 3D printer with a robot arm within 10 hours while each team of the Control Category was to design an auto-tracking car. A group of experts made their judgements upon the comprehensive performances of the students by following the whole process of the competition. The students met the challenge with courage and calmness, demonstrating their team work spirit and their individuality.
