关于选拔2006年德国斯图加特

奖学金项目候选人的通知

 

各有关学院：

    根据我校与斯图加特大学交流计划，我校现紧急选拔2006年度德国斯图加特奖学金项目候选人。现将有关事宜简单通知如下：

 一、被推荐人选应符合以下条件：

1、年龄在45岁以下。

2、有一定科研成果。

3、有流利的英语或德语口语能力。

 二、资助专业及研究领域为：建筑城规、环境工程、化学、生物、计算机与电子信息、航天航空、机械、数学物理、人文和经管。

 三、被推荐人的申请材料：

1、申请表

2、简历

3、专家推荐

以上三份材料用英语或德语写，申请表和简历提供书面和电子版本各一份，申请表电子版本在出境科。由于时间紧迫，请各学院在9月28日之前将申请人材料上交给出境管理科。

New Program of the Universität Stuttgart for Visiting Scholars

from Partner Institutions in China for 2006

 

The new program is based on the following criteria:

  • A scholarship of 1.600 EUR per month for maximum 10 months
    • Due to the financial volume it is unlikely that more than 1 person per partner institution will be awarded a scholarship
    • The scholarship is sufficient enough to cover health insurance and rent
    • We will try to book on-campus accommodation
    • The travel fee has to be paid by the visiting scholars themselves
  • The length of the stay will be determined by the supervisor in Stuttgart
  • Begin March 1, 2006 with a 4-week intensive German Language and Culture Course which is free for the participants but compulsory to attend
  • Commencement of research at the institute on April 3, 2006
  • Scholarship holder will receive visiting scholar status (not student status as before)

 

Prerequisites:

  • maximum age 45 years
  • proof of scientific achievements
  • professor status (incl. associate and assistant professor)
  • fluent English or German

 

Aim of the research stay:

  • presentation at a scientific conference and/or
  • publication in an acknowledged scientific journal

 

Procedure:

  • Either a faculty member of the Universität Stuttgart or the International Office of the partner institution can submit an application
  • As far as the academic field is concerned, there is a limitation to those fields that are offered at the Universität Stuttgart (see www.uni-stuttgart.de)
  • Application deadline: September 30, 2005
  • The  compulsory application form, a CV and the recommendation (letter of support) have to be submitted via the International Office of the partner institution
  • Applications will be submitted to a committee under the chairmanship of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the Universität Stuttgart
  • The decision of this committee is final
