Graduate Fellowship Awards in Global Seismology

Graduate fellowship awards are available for students wishing to pursue an academic or a research career in global seismology. The applicants must be well grounded in physics and mathematics, and have excellent potential for independent research. The fellowship for the student in the master's program carries a stipend of 18,000 RMB per annum; the fellowship for the doctoral student is worth 24,000 RMB per annum. The successful applicants are eligible to receive additional graduate student financial support normally granted by Tongji University.

The recipients are selected on the basis of academic excellence. Male and female students are both welcome to apply. In consideration of their traditional under-representation in science, female students are particularly encouraged to apply.
