The Sino-Finnish Seminar about “Service Design for the Smart Communities” will be held in College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University. The seminar is co-organized by Faculty of Art and Design at University of Lapland and the College of Design &Innovation of Tongji University. About 9 speakers professional from service design, economic management, information technology and government will talk about how to use service design to rebuild our life in the context of chinese urbanization transformation.
As a design approach, “service design” insists humanist and spends more time on the understanding of human behaviorand needs before doing a design. We believe, in the contemporary context,service design is no longer confined in business, and should be applied to public services and social innovation with its cooperation, comprehensiveness and humanism.
