On December 21th, an artwork exhibition in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up in China was held on the lobby of the Zhonghe Building at the Siping campus, Tongji University. The exhibition, jointly organized by seven units of Tongji University including CPC Publicity Department and CPC Faculty Affairs Department, was not only a tribute to the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up, but also a display of the artistic values of Tongji teachers and students. About 200 pieces of artworks were on exhibition including Chinese calligraphy, Chinese paintings, printmaking, seal cuttings, posters and mixed media works.

The 40 years of Reform and Opening-up witnessed the rapid development of Chinese education. Tongji University, the foregoer, beneficiary and supporter of Reform and Opening-up, has made dramatic changes and remarkable development during the 40 years.
Professor JIANG Liping who has experienced and benefited from the Reform and Opening-up, spoke, on behalf of the creators of the artworks, about his profound feelings for the Reform and for the great social changes in the past 40 years. He expressed his wish to work with other teachers for prosperity of campus culture.
