The COVID-19 in 2020 will bring two extremes to the development of cultural and creative industries. Sectors such as movies, performing arts, conventions and exhibitions, and cultural tourism have stalled due to social distancing. In contrast, the online entertainment industry is accelerating its increase in mobile games, live webcasts, online audiovisual programs and short video webcasts. In view of this, China's cultural and creative industries will show a new development trend in the post-pandemic times, with the strong support of new technologies like big data, 5G, artificial intelligence and blockchain.
