About the Lecturer:
WANG Qiheng, Professor of Tianjin University, School of Architecture, Doctoral Supervisor, Leader of Architectural History and Theory Discipline, and National Outstanding Teacher.
He has long been committed to teaching and research on the history and theory of ancient Chinese architecture. He has made fruitful achievements in academic fields such as mapping the ancient building, royal tombs and gardens in the Ming and Qing dynasties, ancient architectural cartography, Qing Dynasty style architectural drawings, theories, and traditional architectural design methods, and the practice and theory of cultural heritage protection. He has successively completed a Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) on “Comprehensive Study on the Yangshi Lei Archives of Qing Dynasty and their Architectural Drawings,” and a Major Program of the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) on “Document Sorting and Database Construction of Ancient Chinese Architecture.”
