Recommended by Ministry of Construction and China Architectural Association, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang from Tongji College of Architecture and Urban Planning, was assigned as the lifetime member of Architectural Education Committee of Union of International Architecture (UIA). Prof. Wu is the only Chinese of the committee.
The International Architectural Education Committee of UIA is the largest directing committee in the world. China’s participation reflects the increasing attention to the architectural education in China from international architectural industry. Wu said that he would make efforts to reinforce the connection and interaction between China’s architectural education and international architectural education, as well as developing architectural education in Asia and developing countries.
