On March 20th, Tongji President Wan Gang signed agreement with Bayer Corporation on setting up ‘Sustainable Development Fund Chairs’. The ritual was held in Bayer’s headquarter located in Leverkusen Germany. According the agreement, Bayer is to invest one million US dollars to support the fund chairs, as well as the sustainable development in the form of scholarship and expenses.
During the press conference, Mr. Winning, chairman of Bayer Group Director of Board, Dr. Oels, member of the board. Prof. Toepfer, director of United Nations Environment Programm (UNEP), and Tongji President Wan Gang delivered speeches separately, reviewing cooperation among Bayer Group, UNEP and Tongji Universtiy.
