Headed by Rajendra Prasad, director of CSIR Department of International Affairs, delegation of The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) paid a visit to Tongji and held talks with experts and professors from College of Ocean and Earth Science, College of life science and Engineering, Department of Chemistry, discussing the feasibility of co-developing scientific research. They also visited Biological Lab and Marine Lab.
As one of the biggest R&D institutes in India, CSIR has 38 labs and institutes, covering astronomy, geology, oceanology, environmental engineering, and material engineering. This visit is under the cooperative agreement between CSIR and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Tongji arranges the delegation’s visit in Shanghai required by NSFC.
