The awarding ceremony for Einstein Prize was held in Beijing recently. Twenty doctors in physics from thirteen colleges and China Academy of Science(CAS) were awarded the prize, including Dr. Wang Hongchang from Department of Physics of Tongji University. Lu Yongxiang, head of CAS, and consultants and scientists from German and Swiss Embassy in China attended the awarding ceremony.
The Einstein Prize is set up for Chinese students by German and Swiss Embassy in China. The prize owners this year are chosen from 33 candidates nominated by the Ministry of Education and CAS. The prize owners will be invited to pay a visit to Swiss and German scientific research institutes, providing an opportunity for Chinese excellent students to be involved in world-class research activities in Germany and Switzerland.
