On March 28th, Tongji’s 100thanniversary logo was publicized in International Conference Meeting in Jiading Campus. Wu Qidi, vice minister of the Ministry of Education, Jiang Ping, deputy general secretary of Shanghai Municipal Government, Yuan Yuebing, deputy secretary of Yangpu District, Xia Yiqun, deputy director of Jiading District, as well as Tongji leaders, teachers and students, attended the ceremony. Zhou Jialun, Tongji secretary of the Party Committee, awarded the flag to volunteers. Tongji president Wan Gang delivered speeches on the ceremony. Tongji Alumni Garden was also officially opened.
The publication of the 100thAnniversary Logo is the first largest event. The collection of log received much attention from teachers, alumni and social friends, collecting 2487 works from China and abroad. The evaluation of the logo stirred heated reply, about 52619 person-times taking part in the public evaluation through internet or votes.
Finally, the designing of Liu Bing, from Tongji Research Center of Design & Art, was luckily to be chosen for the logo. President Wan Gang awarded the certificate and bonus to the winner. Vice president Zhao Jianfu presented the logo gifts to leaders of Yangpu and Jiading District.
