Invited by National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan, Jiang Changjun, vice standing dean of College of Electronic and Information Engineering, vice dean of Liu Fuqiang and Prof. Zeng Guosun, paid a three-day visit to NII and signed relative cooperative agreements.
The visit aims to carry out disciplinary inspection and establish regular communication with Japanese famous universities and NII. During the visit, Tongji signed a cooperative memorandum with NII, reaching agreement in graduates exchanging and scientific cooperation, as well as the joint doctor developing program. Tongji delegation also paid a visit to National GRID Center, Tokyo University, Graduate School of System and Information Engineering of University of Tsukuba.
Separated from Tokyo University in 2000, NII is now Japan national information net center, one of the core units of information technology study in Japan with over 10 billion yen of budget every year. Tongji is the third Chinese academic unit that signs cooperative contract with NII after Tsinghua and CAS.
