Organized by French Embassy in China, the “Lens-Object-France” photographing contest as an important part of China-France Art Festival drew on its curtain in the middle of April. Six students of College of Communication and Art took part in the context. Diao Hong from Tongji and other students from China Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, and Beijing Normal University, achieved top five and were invited to attend the awarding ceremony organized by French Cultural Center in Beijing on April 15th.
Themed on Shanghai municipal metro, Diao Hong’s work disclosed the inner feeling and change of modern municipal citizens through the description of the usual corner of the city. As the shooting was carried out in the crowded metro stations and vehicles, Diao Hong had to face numerous impugnment and crashes. But he insisted on and finished the work at last.
