Tongji and AMD reached an agreement recently to found Tongji-AMD Technical Center in College of Software Engineering. The center will carry out a series of research and teaching on computer programming based on AMD 64 CPU, software development and optimization, visualization research, and data processing. Besides, the center will cooperate with AMD in the application of high-performance computer, software transplant and optimization.
According to the agreement, AMD will fund Tongji College of Software Engineering to purchase ten advanced computer platforms. Besides, AMD will donate its technical materials and 64 processing teaching materials. The agreement also clarify rights and responsibilities around Tongji AMD Students Club, AMD products and Technology Forum, AMD Scholarship, AMD campus recruiting and internship, regular center report.
