Headed by President Wan Gang, deputy general secretary of the Party Committee Zhu Shaozhong, Tongji delegation paid a visit to Hongkong.
During his visit, President Wan Gang signed with Sun Hong Kai KUOK Foundation the “Sun Hong Kai KUOK Foundation– Tongji University Stipend Donation Agreement”. KUOK will donate seven million RMB from this year till 2012 to support distinguished but poor student to cover the four-year study. Four hundred students are expected to benefit from the agreement.
The delegation then came to China Resources Corporation (CRC) to talk with general manager of CRC Sun Lin, deputy general manger Wang Yin, and Tongji alumni in CRC. President Wan introduced Tongji’s latest development and the preparation for 100th anniversary. The two parts also exchanged views in architecture, energy-saving, material, and environment protection.
Arranged by Tongji alumnus Qiu Zhenhai, Phoenix famous commentator, President Wan also met with Phoenix TV chairman of board Liu Changle, holding discussion on cooperation in news propaganda and documentary production.
Tongji delegation also visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), where they were welcomed by Prof. Gao Zanming, HKPU vice president, and Prof. Xu Youlin, Tongji alumnus.
