On September 20th, Tongji President Wan Gang met with Mr. Pierre Simon, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Paris (CCIP), Vice Chairman Jean-Paul Vermes, General Manager Nicolas Jacquet. President assistant Dong Qi, owners of Foreign Affairs Office and College of Economy and Management (CEM) presented at the meeting.
During the talk, the two parts reviewed Tongji's cooperation with several famous business schools in Paris, and held discussion in furthering cooperation in diploma programs and Sino-Euro senior management staff training. After the meeting, CCIP visitors also held talks with thirteen French students studying in CEM, enquiring their life and study in Tongji.
Founded in 1803, CCIP is the largest non-profitable commercial and industrial organization in France and Europe. The educational and training organization affiliated to CCIP recruit 13,000 students and 40,000 students of continuing education according to enterprises' demand. HEC Paris, sponsored by CEM and CCIP has successfully carried out the joint program of double master's degree in management and overseas study program for EMBA. It will explore more cooperation in scientific research and MBA education.
