On the afternoon of September 21st, President Wan Gang met with German delegation headed by Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister of Transportation, Construction and Urban Development.
With his outstanding achievement in political career and contribution to China and Germany's cooperation in economic field, Minister Tiefensee was conferred the title of Tongji Honorable Professor. He also delivered a report named on "Mobile & Sustainable Guarantee –Contributions of Replaceable Fuel and Creative Driving Technology". Minister Tiefensee states that he is very honored to be one member of Tongji, and willing to contribute himself for furthering China-German cooperation, especially in new energy development.
Before the ceremony, Minister Tiefensee took a drive ofChaoyue III, Tongji's self-developed new energy mobile, and visited the engineering center. He also held friendly talk with President Wan about the new energy development. President Dong Qi attended the conference.
