Helsinki Modern City Architecture Photographing Exhibition Opened in Tongji

School, habitation, railway station, office building, culture center….over 1000 photographing works shows modern architecture style on North European cities. On the afternoon of October 10th, "Helsinki Modern City Architecture Photographing Exhibition" was held in College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Ms. Paula Kokkonen, vice mayor of Helsinki, and Tongji standing vice president Li Yongsheng attended the meeting and made speeches.

It is said that Helsinki constructed more important modern architecture compared with other European cities, and is renowned as one of the most extinguished cities in urban planning. The works shown in this exhibition are taken by Jussi Tiainen, senior architecture photographer, focusing on the architecture structure and environment of over 40 latest modern architectures. There are also several kinds of seats and textile and dyeing products.

The exhibition attracts numerous teachers and students as soon as it starts, which provides opportunities for teachers and students to have a close contact with the designing style and concept of Western Europe, as well as conditions for further academic communication and cooperation in architecture designing, art designing and education.

It is said that the exhibition will be extended till 26ththis month.
