On the night of October 17th, the first campus concert of th 14thERS China Top Ten & the Opening Ceremony of Tongji Arts Festival 2006 was held in the 129 auditorium.
Lu Minxun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized the important role of the art festival to strengthen campus culture, improve the artistic characteristic of Tongji students, and construct harmonious campus.
The soiree was hosted by emcee from China East Radio. As the first campus concert f the 14thERS China Top Ten, Tongji boasts a good artistic and campus environment. It has successfully held five arts festivals since 2001 which greatly enriched our campus culture. It is said that Tongji will also be the owner of many events, such as carnival festival, sound of music-western music instrument performance, photographing contest, special performance by Music Department, Classic Movie Week, dancing performance, drama and short play, and folk music, all of which will be held in the main campus, Hudong Campus, Jiading Campus and Huxi Campus.
