On October 23rd, Vice President Li Yongsheng met with delegation from Swedish KTH University and Chalmers University. People from Foreign Students Office, Department of Physics, and Foreign Affairs Office attended the meeting.
During the talk, Mr. Li introduced Tongji’s history, disciplinary structure, international joint projects, contacts with enterprises, showing his efforts to improve Tongji’s cooperation with Swedish famous colleges. Prof. Ramon Wyss also made brief introduction of the course and international projects, hoping to establish cooperative relationship with more Chinese colleges and providing students opportunities of experiencing multicultures.
The two colleges are responsible for 80% education work of engineering students. The powerful disciplines in KTH include wireless technology, biology science, civil engineering, and chemical technology. 10% overseas students among campus students of Chalmers come from 98 countries. Existing international communication project include environment, automotive safety, microelectronic technology. The visit aims to seek more international cooperation and communication.
After the talk, the delegation paid a visit to Tongji’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
