2006 Chinese Education Expo is held from Oct. 26 to 27 in National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Tongji, together with Beijing University, Fudan University and other 29 prestigious institutes took part in the exposition. It is said that this is the first time for China to present such an exhibition in Mexico. The two-day expo provided the Mexican students and educational circle with extensive information and in-depth understanding about the general circumstances of Chinese tertiary education. Meanwhile it also attracted a good number of Mexican students to study in China.
Over the last few years, Sino-Mexican educational interflows and cooperations have been under rapid development, now playing a very important part in the bilateral relationship. It is said that a total of 690 Chinese students have studied in Mexico for the last six years.
