The delegation of Production Technology of German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) visited Tongji, upon the invitation by China International Science and Technology Cooperation (DIC). Prof. Lu Minxun, associate Party Chief of CPC of Tongji Committee received the German guests and introduced them the rapid development and remarkable achievement of Tongji in these years. Later, more reports were given concerning the cooperative experience of joint programs with German institutions and the latest situation in this regard. The visitors showed their satisfaction and expressed that they would maintain the momentum of Sino-Deutsche cooperation in science and technology research. The delegation also paid a visit to the laboratory of Mechanical Department.
The delegation was led by Ms. Susanne Clobes, section chief of Production Technology of BMBF, Mr. Ingward Bey, director of the Project Management Bureau of BMBF, Prof. Eberhard Abele from Darmstadt University of Technology, Prof. Horst Meier from Bochum University, Prof. Robert Schmitt from Aachen TH, Mr. Michael Grosse, official of Project Management of BMBF and Mr. Matthias Hack, scientific and technological counselor of the Embassy of Germany in P.R.C.
