Recently, the ESMT MBA delegation, twelve professors and students paid a visit to Tongji. The MBA students come from finance, consultancy, IT and other industries. This is the first time for them to visit China and they will see about and do studies for a week with a view of learning the Chinese language and culture as well as the business environment in China.
En attendant, Prof. Peng Yun'e and Prof. Wu Jianwei delivered to the delegation inviting lectures on issues of the financial investment environment in China, Chinese culture and so forth. Later, IMBA students from College of Economy and Management of Tongji and the visiting guests carried out heated discussions and shared their experience.
During the delegation's visit to Xinzhang Industrial Zone, the director of Minhang Administrative District offered them a cordial welcome and presented detailed introduction on the current process of economic development in Minhang. The delegation also visited Shanghai Mobile (Company) and Shanghai Baosteel (Company) and gained a fairly clear picture of Shanghai's economic development through the communication with the two leading Chinese enterprises. Besides, the team called on RBCN, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, China, and Shanghai Krupp Stainless. The three foreign companies provided presentations of their investment experience and business fruits achieved.
One-week study rendered the ESMT full-loaded informatively. They showed great appreciation and admiration on China's economic progress and Shanghai’s achievement on the cause to modernization.
