On November 22nd, prof. Sünkel, president of German Graz University of Technology (GUT) and Mr. Gerstenmayer, general manager of Siemens Traffic Technology visited Tongji and were cordially received by vice president Yang Dongyuan in Yifu Building.
The Research Institute of Transit of Tongji (RIT) signed a trilateral agreement with GUT and Siemens this October, setting up a framework of joint programs for personnel interflows, stuff training and international conventions hosting. GUT, strong at tunnel engineering, mass transit and biomedical engineering, hoped to exert cooperation with Tongji on the foregoing three areas. Vice president Yang expression warm welcome to the visitors and expected every party to well implement the agreement and endeavor on the advancement of the cooperative program. The dean of RIT, prof. Xie Weida also attended the meeting.
