The “Tongji Aero-boat” designed by the students in Tong Fei Aero-modeling Association was blasted off on Dec. 14. The aero-boat, which is 6 meters long with the diameter of 2 meter, weighs over 10 kilograms. It can fly at an altitude of 500 meters.
The lift-off performance caught attentions of the students and the overseas students on the campus. The journalists from Xinmin Evening and Jiefang Daily reported the event in time. Next year, on the day of 100th anniversary, the aero-boat will be covered by the banners on the celebrate ceremony.
