On the afternoon of Dec 20ththe Sino-France center held the starting ceremony of the Post office of Tongji University, i.e., the release ceremony of 100thanniversary celebration mementos. Guoquan Zang, deputy director of Shanghai post office and Jianfu Wang, deputy president of Tongji started the ceremony. The representatives from Shanghai post office—north branch, 100thanniversary celebration preparation office of Tongji and some other units attended the ceremony.
The former name of Tongji university post office is Zhangwu Road post office. To coordinate with the release of Tongji 100thanniversary stamps and other memento, it changed its name, in the support of Shanghai post office, to Tongji Post Office so as to elevate the value of memento stamps and other postal objects. It aims to meet the postal needs during the celebration of Tongji 100thanniversary and facilitate the life of all the teachers and students.
Meanwhile, the first individualized set of memento for Tongji 100thanniversary celebration came into being. It is composed of anniversary celebration envelops, postcards and 8 individualized stamps. In the release ceremony, Caihong Wu, general director of Shanghai stamp-collecting company and Xinghui Lei, director of Tongji 100thanniversary celebration preparation office, together affixed the postmark and memento seal.
