The Party Committee Secretary Mr. Zhou Jialun and President Wan Gang visited the State Councilor Chen Zhili in Beijing on February 13th. Mr. Zhou and Mr. Wan first expressed thanks for the support and guidance which are offered by the State Councilor. Later, they made a report of the recent development of Tong Ji University in discipline construction, admission, scientific research, social services and the operation of teaching quality assurance system. Meanwhile, the notion of “exploration of university sustainable development” of Tong Ji at Centennial and its specific measures were also introduced.
Mr. Chen congratulated on Tong Ji Centennial and appreciated the achievements of Tong Ji in students training, discipline construction and social services. Besides, he praised highly the exploration of efforts in “conservation-minded campus” and its corresponding accomplishments. He said, the notion of “conservation-minded campus” is very important. However, the energy-saving efforts are not only a matter of water or power economy, but also the cultivating of economy notion, and its blending into teaching process, research process and social services.
