China Science and Technology Management Institute was established in Tong Ji University on March 20th. The Head Director of Science and Technology Ministry Mr. Xu Guanhua and Shanghai Deputy Mayor Yang Dinghua attended the ceremony. The Secretary of Party Committee of Tong Ji University Mr. Zhou Jialun announced the manning list: Mr Xu Guanhua is appointed the Honorary President, former Vice Minister of Science and Technology Ministry Mr. Hui Yongzheng the Director-general of the Council, the President of Tong Ji University Mr. Wan Gang the President of the Institute, Vice-president Mr. Yang Dongyuan the Vice President of the Institute and Deputy Director of the Council.
The purpose of the Institute is to undertake the research on science and technology management, cultivate management leadership and working staff, and reinforce science and technology management exchange.
In order to enhance the science and technology management, the Institute will offer strategy consultation services to the government and social organization by focusing on the basic theory of management development strategy, engineering technology development, Besides, disciplines like scientific prediction, scientific development and management, scientific source planning and development strategy, innovation and culture are designed to train higher science and technology management personnel and offer intelligent support to national long-term science and technology development strategic planning. To exchange information in management and research, annual management forum will be held nation wide, and an international management forum will be held every one year.
After the ceremony, Mr Xu Guanhua and Yang Dinghua were showed around Students Hall, School of Ocean and Earth Science, the Bathroom Energy-saving and Environmental-friendly Project, the Vibration Platform, the Scientific and Technical Payoffs Exhibitions and New Energy Auto Engineering Center to come to understand the energy-saving campus program in Tong Ji University.
