Living and working in Shanghai and Munich in Germany, famous artist, our alumnus, Wang Xiaohui, won the “Germany-China Friendship Awards”. The award ceremony was being held in the official residence of Germany consulate-general.
The “Germany-China Friendship Awards” was started in 2005 for the excellent persons who have dedicated much to the interaction between China and Germany in politics, economics and culture. Shu Wang, the ambassador to Germany and Kuangdi Xu, the former mayor of Shanghai once won the awards.
Xiaohui Wang, after graduating from Tongji, sojourned in Germany for twenty years. She published over 30 books and painting album. She also held over ten shows and became a famous photographer in Germany. The famous Photographer Association “BFF” awarded her the honored membership. This title is awarded every other year in the worldwide. Xiaohui Wang is the only Asian artist that once won the title.

One of the reasons why the “Phoenix Weekly” selected Xiaohui Wang as one of the 50 Chinese who will influence future of the world is “she effectively transmitted the Chinese culture.”
