Co-organized by the environment ministry of the United Nations and the Sweden development ministry and our school, the city policy forum was held on the morning of May 17th. Vice secretary, director of the environment ministry, Achim Steiner, Sweden ambassador to Bangkok, the environment secretary for the Asian area in Sweden, Holtberg and our principal attended and addressed ceremony.
The forum lasted for two days and was divided into four forums, namely, perfecting city management, mayors’ discussion, city ecology construction, and city climate change and energy utilization. Over 50 advanced policy maker and officials from China, Sweden, Australia, Korea, Japan, India and other countries interchanged their experiences and lessons in the city environment project. They also held the discussion about the influence from the city climate change, water supply, the efficiency of the energy utilization, sustainable transportation, environment city construction and other issues. Prof. Dajian Zhu of our school delivered the speech on “efficiency of the resources”.
