President Wan Gang and the Director of Environment Research Bureau of Italian Environment and Territory Ministry Dr. Corrado Clini signed agreement on co-research and develop 100 hybrid model motors in the afternoon of May 19th.
The project, which will last for 26 months, is designed for lower or even zero environmental discharge by means of tandem-typed composite power proposal. A direction committee will be set up to approve and supervise research activities according to the agreement. During the cooperation period, enterprises and universities of two parties will enhance exchange activities and cooperation.
The contract sum amounts to 5581500 euros, of which 2796000 will be invested by Italian Environment and Territory Ministry. The appendix agreement, which is on the basis of the project agreement of “research on ITS Intellectual public transportation system of 2010 Shanghai Expo” signed by Tong Ji and ltaly Territory, Source and Ocean Ministry on Sept. 16th, 2006, and the commitment of sustainable public transportation system established by Shanghai government in Expo area, explicitly described the commitment of ltaly Territory, Source and Ocean Ministry: on the condition of the smooth research work during the 1st phase and the successful proposal of the detailed work plan of 2nd phase, 300000 euros will be invested for the completion of the management and operation of ITS of public transportation system in Shanghai Expo in 2010.
