Invited by the President Prof. Wan Gang in the early 2007, the chorus and symphony orchestra of Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum paid a special visit to tongji during July 5thto 6thand gave a performance to celebrate Tongji’s centennial.
The concert began with “Song of Tongji” and some other traditional Chinese songs. Afterwards, the RUB chorus and symphony orchestra performed various classical works composed by Beethoven or Schubert under the conduct of the dean of RUB musical department. At the end, the masterpiece “Hallelujah” co-performed by Tongji chorus and RUB symphony orchestra put a perfect end to the concert.
