On the morning of September 17, 2007, Mr. Stuth, German Secretary of State of Hamburg, and Mr. Anke, Chief Representative of Shanghai liaison office of this city, along with Ms.Zhang Feibing, Public Relations Manager, visited our university. Secretary Zhou Jialun, Director of school administration committee, cordially met with Mr. Stuth and his party.
Because Medical School of Hamburg University and the counterpart of our university had cooperation in minimally invasive techniques, Mr. Stuth, on his visit, intended to deepen and expand the cooperation between Hamburg University and our university. Hamburg Port Inter-City University would establish Chinese medicine specialty recently and had an intention to cooperate with our university then and in the meantime the construction and city planning, Aeronautics and some other disciplines of this university also sought the possibility of cooperation with our university. In addition, on Hamburg’s side, they also expected to set up extensive cooperation with our university by taking the chance of the coming Shanghai World Expo in 2010. During the talks, both sides discussed and exchanged opinion on relative items in a genial and friendly atmosphere.
