The 2007 Art Festival commenced with “marvelous programs display”in the evening of Oct. 25. Prof. Zhou Jialun, Chairman of University Council, Prof. Pei, President of the University, Prof. Lu Minxun, Deputy Director of Organization Committee of Art Festival, Prof. Ma Jinming and Prof. Jiang Fuming, Deputy Secretary of Communist Party of the Univerity attended the Open Ceremony.
The whole Party is divided into four parts: music, ballet, modern dance and piano performance, which indicates the theme of grace, excellence and enjoyment of the Art Festival. The performance show was ended with a piano concerto given by Prof. Kong Xiangdong, a famous pianist, part-time Professor of Tongji University.
The 2007 Art Festival will last from late October to December, approximately two months. And it is reported that Tongji University has been successfully held 6 Art Festivals since the year of 2001.
