Authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology, Shanghai Science and Technology Committee and Tongji University co-hosted the 2007 Hydrogen Energy Seminar from Oct. 22ndto 24th. Graham R. Campbell, Chairman of IHPE, Robert K. Dixon, Director of New Energy Department of International Energy Agency, Shi Dinghuan, State Council counselor and Chairman of Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association, Zhang Zhihong, Deputy Director of Division of High Technology of Ministry of Science and Technology, and Yu Zhuoping, President Assistant of Tongji University attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.
Up to 120 representatives from 17 member countries of IPHE and Korea, Japan, Australia, Indonesia and South Africa exchange ideas themed on the relevant specifications and standards of hydrogen energy technology, technology of hydrogen production, application of hydrogen energy, analysis skills of Asian hydrogen economy and models of hydrogen energy application in 2010 Expo, and reached consensus on a great deal of world wide hot topics in the field.
In the afternoon of Oct. 24th, Prof. Ma Jianxin from School of Automobile Engineering of the University showed the delegates around the first hydrogenation station located in Anting International Automobile City, the two generations of hydrogenation vehicles and new energy automobile engineering center, which were developed by his Research Group. All the delegates were impressed by the achievements and praised highly the efforts devoted by Tongji University in the field of hydrogen energy.
