Recently, Prof. Li Guoqiang, Vice-President of the University met the delegation of Tekes (Finish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation).
During the talks, Prof. Li first introduced the historical development of the University and the efforts the University has been devoted to the building energy saving, green building and environmental protection. He also delivered hopes to get better understanding of each other and look for more possibility of co-exploring the “green building project”. The Tekes praised highly the achievement of the University in the field of civil engineering and environmental protection, and hoped to strengthen the cooperation between two parties in the research and innovation of green building.
After the meeting, Prof. Li Guoqiang signed the “Memorandum of Understanding for the Cooperation between Tongji University and Tekes for Joint Research, Development and Industrialization of Sustainable Community Technology” with Tekes on behalf of the University.
It is reported that the Finish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation has approved a “green building project”. With a budget of approximately 150 million euros, the he 5-year project is designed to promote the international cooperation in technology and business in the field of green building.
