On February 28thand 29th, a delegation of seven led by Dr. Minh-Hà Pham-Delègue, Asia-Pacific principal of Paris Tech and Mr. Yves Cousquer, French principal of Shanghai Sino-French engineers’ project visited Tongji University. Relevant personnel from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Tongji University held a meeting on the cooperation project of Shanghai Sino-French engineers College (F6) with the delegacy. During their visiting, Prof. Zhou Zuyi, Executive Vice President of the university and President’s Assistant Dong Qi met the delegacy and proposed valuable opinions on F6 Project.

At the meeting, Chinese and French Cooperative parties affirmed all the items of the overall cooperation agreement attentively, and formulated the forward working object and project schedule. Advanced successfully, the F6 project will apply to Chinese Ministry of Education for the Chinese-foreign cooperation school-running program in this March and to French CTI (Committee of Title of Engineer) for attestation of engineering diploma in this April, and admit the first group of students in this September.

The project of F6 was proposed to President Wan Gang by Mr. Philippe Courtier, President of ENPC (National Institute of Bridge and Highway)—a member of Paris Tech—in March, 2005, and in September of the same year, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University joined. The cooperative specialties between our university and Paris Tech are civil engineering and transportation engineering.
