Recently, all kinds of Chinese courses of Hannover Confucius College commenced successively as the new semester began. These courses were co-organized by Tongji University.
In the new semester, Hannover Confucius College introduced a long-term three-leveled Chinese class and different short-term training classes successively. Bremen Jakob University and Braunschweig University College of Law set up new optional fundamental Chinese class respectively. At the end of the year 2007, the 1stround Chinese experience course in elementary and secondary school was well received at State of Niedersachsen. These schools expressed the expectation to hold the course. The first Chinese interest group was founded. On March 8th, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Education of Niedersachsen, Confucius College and German cooperative party demonstrated the network-based Chinese teaching model on CeBIT linking the Ernestinum Secondary School in Rintel, which won huge applause from the audience and media.
Other cultural and academic activities of Hannover Confucius College, such as Confucius Seminar, “German’s View of China” photography-match, contemporary paint show of Anhui Province and linking friendly secondary schools between two countries, etc were in progress. Meanwhile, Confucius College was promoting the foundation of branch colleges or Confucius classrooms in Oldenburg, the German scientific city of 2009, so as to extend the Chinese teaching to local universities and colleges of applied technology.
