On the afternoon of March 31th, Li Yongsheng, the Executive Vice-president met the Kettering University delegation led by the President Stanley Liberty and Michael Harris, Vice-president and Dean of Studies at Yifu Building.

During the meeting, Vice-president Li Yongsheng first introduced historical evolution, discipline setting and external communication and cooperation programs in the scientific field of our university. President Stanley expressed his thanks for our warmly reception. He said that Tongji University and Kettering University had many common grounds on engineering field and these served as a solid foundation for the future cooperation. He expected to reach an agreement on research and developing of fuel cell engine, automobile marketing, exchange students, joint cultivation with Automobile College of our university so as to promote the comprehensive cooperation between the two parties.
After the meeting, the two parties signed the memorandum of understanding and cooperation on behalf of respective schools.
Kettering University was developed on the basis of US General Motors Institute, which was founded in 1919. Engineering major of this university was top-ranked among the American Engineering Universities over the years. Kettering University enjoyed great reputation in automobile engineering field. Now the most advanced fuel cells laboratory in the United States has been established in this university.
