On April 12th, the ceremony of awarding Prof. Robert Mair of Cambridge University theHonorary Professor of Tongji Universitywas held in Xuri Building. Executive Vice-president Li Yongsheng representing the University awarded the certificate for Prof. Mair. Principals and professors of Graduate College and Civil Engineering College attended the ceremony.
Prof. Mair expressed that he was greatly honored to be anHonorary Professor of Tongji Universityand he was willing to strengthen the academic communication and cooperation between Tongji and Cambridge.
In the afternoon, Prof. Mair made an academic lecture namedBuilding Response to Adjacent Deep Excavationsfor students and teachers of Civil Engineering College.
