On April 17th, Kunio Hiramatsu, the newly-appointed mayor of Osaka, Japan met Prof. Cai Jianguo, dean of International Culture Exchanges College, Tongji and director of Center for Asia-Pacific Studies in the guest room of municipal government building. Prof. Cai was attending the conferences of Osaka Class, Confucius College co-organized by Ritsumeikan University and Tongji University in Japan. He expressed congratulation to Kunio Hiramatsu for his successful election as well as admiration for his assertion on China-Japan friendship. He also agreed with Kunio Hiramatsu’s view to strengthen the non-governmental exchange between China and Japan and hoped that the Osaka municipal government would continue supporting the cooperative projects of Tongji University.
