The 2008 Beijing Olympic torch relay all around the world raised the passion of Tongji students for a successful Olympics. On April 23rd, in order to create a harmonious atmosphere for Olympics on Tongji campus, the student union held the first Traditional Sports Cultural Festival on Siping Campus. The shadowboxing performance and all kinds of traditional sports competition attracted lots of students to watch and participate. Some students said that flying kite, rope skipping, and etc. were childhood games, which were unfamiliar but funny to them. Color strips and red Chinese knots were hanging up in the sports field and there were laughter of the participating students everywhere.
