On April 28th, Cui Zhongxiong (IECSB1 International Committee Member and Chairman of Korean Committee), Senior Executive Vice President of LS Industrial System Co. Ltd, Korea led a delegation visited College of Electronics & Information Engineering of Tongji University. The delegation consisted of 5 persons including the director of research institute and head of strategic developing department. The two parties exchanged ideas about scientific and technological cooperation, cooperative cultivation of postgraduates and setting of scholarship for postgraduates, etc. Principals of Party and administration from College of Electronics & Information Engineering and Electric Department were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Cui Zhongxiong introduced the developing history of LS Co. Ltd. LS used to be a section of LG Electronics Co. Ltd. In 2004, LG was split into 3 corporations during the reform and recombination and LS was one of them. The primary aim of this visiting was to develop the cooperation with Chinese colleges and universities and Tongji became their first choice.
Besides, Principals of College of Electronics & Information Engineering exchanged ideas with the delegation members on discipline structure, major research fields of the College and scholarships for the postgraduate students, etc. They expected to find out the starting point towards a win-win situation and establish a substantial cooperation framework through many kinds of cooperative modes.
After the meeting, the delegacy visited major laboratories of Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Control Science and Engineering in College of Electronics & Information Engineering.
