The Sound of Northern Europe-ARS NOVA Copenhagen Concert Was Held

On the evening of May 6th, the Sound of Northern Europe-ARS NOVA Copenhagen Concert was held in 129 auditorium of Tongji University. Zhou Jialun, Secretary of University Party Committee and Deputy Secretary Lu Minxun, Ma Jinming enjoyed the concert with more 600 teachers and students.

The Sound of Northern Europe- ARS NOVA Copenhagen was acknowledged as one of the top-grade choirs in Europe. The famous conductor Tamás Vetö used to be the chief conductor of the choir from 1996 to 2000 and now he was the first guest conductor. This time he led the choir to play the world famous songs:Sommerfugledalen-et requiemcomposed by Svend Eiler Nielsen,Statementby Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen,Memoryby Bent Sorensen,Fountainby Svend Eiler Nielsen and selected Danish folk songs. They offered the audience with refined artistic enjoyment.

The beautiful singing of the choir won prolonged applause from the audience and teachers and students of the University present showed proper artistic accomplishment. Melodious singing and respectful listening gave grateful fascination to this concert. The choir offered the first precious present for our university’s first birthday in the new century.
