On the afternoon of May 14th,zhou Jialun, Director of University Committee met Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, the newly appointed Cultural Secretary of Embassy of the Republic of France in China and Ms. Cécile Cormier, Counsellor For Education of France Consulate-general in Shanghai, accompanied by president assistant Dongqi.
Zhou Jialun expressed his thanks to Embassy of France in China and France Consulate-general in Shanghai for their concern and support to our cooperation with France over the years and wished for their further support the Institute Franco-Chinois D'IngenIierie et De Management (IFCIM), the Project of Sino-French College for Engineers (F6) and French Language Training Project.
First visiting to Chinese university, Mr. Ziegler’s talked about the Sino-French cooperative and exchanging programs of Tongji University (Elite Class of Social Science, Cooperation with French Ministry of Culture and Universities on Architecture and Urban Planning, post Graduate project on engineering). He highly praised the excellent achievements, practical working attitude and high working efficiency of Sino-French cooperation our university developed. He wished to invite Tongji to assist the “50 Planners in France” program referring to the presidential program “150 Architects in France” and establish a French-model preparatory class for elites in Tongji University with the support of French Ministry of Education. He was considering sending a commissioner to coordinate our Sino-French cooperative and exchanging programs in the latter half of the year. Besides, he was willing to promote French high leaders to participate the decennial celebration of IFCIM.
