Recently, Mr. Amine KHENE, Assistant Director-General for Administration of UNESCO made a two-day visiting to the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research-Asia and Pacific (WHITR-AP) in Tongji University. Li Yongsheng, the University Executive Vice-president and Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Derector of WHITR-AP and Dean of College of Architecture and Urban Planning met the guest. During the meeting, Mr. KHENE highly appraised the achievements made by WHITR-AP and international cooperation developed by Tongji University, especially the great contribution and close collaboration to the Africa regions.
After the meeting, Mr. KHENE gave a lecture to teachers and students of our university titledthe Cooperation between UNESCO and Chinaconcerning the UNESCO’s cooperative programs and activities with China.
