On July 14th, 2008 TongjiEuropean StudiesSummer School of FrankfurtUniversity andFrankfurtUniversityof Applied Sciences was opened. After selection, 30 Tongji students of every major became students of this summer school.
The summer school lasted for three weeks from July 14thto August 1st, including studies of European Integration, European Central Bank, Analysis of Chinese Economy and German language training, etc with the theme ofEU and China: New Economic Partnership in the Globalised World. In addition, the summer school will organize the students to make on-the-spot investigations in German Center and Deutsche Bank AGShanghai, etcsituated in Pudong District. Through the studies, the students will gain the information and knowledge of European Integration. Students who finish the studies and pass the evaluation will obtain certificates issued by FrankfurtUniversityandFrankfurtUniversityof Applied Sciences. The summer school was subsidized by DeutscheBank and the students need not to pay any tuitions.
