On the afternoon of September 4th, Administrative vice-president Li Yongsheng warmly welcomed Argentinean Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. José Lino Salvador Barañao and his staff.
Li Yonsheng, administrative vice-president of Tongji University, warmly welcomed Mr. Minister’s visit on behalf of Tongji University, and then introduced the history of Tongji University, activities of Tongji University 100thbirthday celebration, and Tongji’s exchanges and cooperation with outside world. He also expressed his wishes that this visit will shorten the distance between Tongji University and Argentina, and exploited exchanges and cooperation with Argentina in the fields of cars with new energy and environmental protection.
Minister Jose Lino Salvador Baranao was grateful to Administrative vice-president Li Yongsheng’s cordial hospitality.
During the talks, Professor Li Fengting, deputy dean of College of Environmental Science and Technology (CEST), Professor Zhang Tong, deputy director of Engineering Center of Cars with new energy, introduced the latest development of environmental protection and research on cars with new energy in Tongji University respectively. Two parties investigated the topics interested both of them such as research on cars with new energy and patterns of cooperation between schools and enterprises.
