On the evening of November 5th, Tongji University and Autodesk, Inc, our world-renowned design software provider, signed a cooperative memorandum on jointly establishing the Sustainable Design Center in Zhongting Conference Hall of Architecture & Urban Planning College. Jiang Fuming, Vice Secretary of the University Party Committee, Carl Bass, President and CEO of Autodesk, Inc, Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice-President on Emerging Business of Autodesk, Huang Jianming, Dean of ACRD and Global Vice-President of Autodesk, Doug Eberhard, Senior Director and Digital Urban Planner and Wu Zhiqiang, General Planner of 2010 World Expo and Dean of Tongji Architecture & Urban Planning College.
According to the memorandum, Autodesk, Inc. will provide the University with software and technical services worth one hundred million yuan. The two sides will develop in-depth exploration and cooperation in the fields of digital cities, architectural design, media arts, mechanical manufacture, etc. 2010 Shanghai World Expo and Dujiang Weir planning programs are among the first cooperative projects.
